Lessons of a Cruising Life

Lessons of a Cruising Life, by David and Angie Jeffs

Angie sailed a 9 ton Hillyard solo across the Atlantic to Jersey way back in 1977 before GPS was even dreamt about.  David gained his RN Ocean Navigation Certificate in 1972 by helping navigate one of Her Majesty's frigates from Perth WA to Gibraltar.

Since leaving Guernsey in 2008, together that have sailed some 60,000 nm including six ocean crossings, wherever possible choosing the route less travelled, including Cocos Keeling, the Chagos archipelago and the Atlantic coast of Morocco.

Their very informal talk will focus on lessons learnt, with much practical advice to share, as well as lovely places to go and plenty of time for questions.

Date: Wednesday 12th of October. Lectures and talks start promptly at 19:00 hrs
