Our first meet of the season will be at Shepards Wharf.

It will, as always, be very informal and a chance to meet up with old friends and welcome new.

75^th anniversary celebrations of the Cowes blitz

The meet coincides with the 75^th anniversary celebrations of the Cowes blitz, when the Polish destroyer ORP Blyskawica, which was in port for a refit, successfully used its guns to help defend the town.

There will be an extensive programme of events including exhibitions, concerts, processions and a Polish food fayre on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday. A Polish warship and possibly one of the Royal Navy warships, will be in attendance.

Rodney hopes to be able to arrange for a party to visit the Polish ship. The town will be buzzing and if it is like the previous celebrations, well worth being there. When available, the events programme will be circulated to those who register for the meet.

On Saturday.-At 18.30 prompt, members and their guests are invited to take a glass of wine with us alongside Kiran, when you can meet other members and join in the fun of this occasion.

Duke of York Hotel

This year dinner will be at the nearby Duke of York Hotel. They are renowned for their fish but we have arranged a wide choice for you.

The cost of the reception and the evening meal will be £20 per adult  (Children’s menu available)

Shepards Wharf Marina

Shepards Wharf Marina is on the west side of the River Medina opposite the Red Funnel ferry terminal. Before entering the marina call “Shepards Wharf” on Channel 80 for instructions and say you are part of the Cruising Association Rally.

Please book promptly as we have to provide the Marina with confirmation and all boat details one week prior. There is a booking form in the attachment below.
