East Midlands Section Autumn Meeting.

The East Midlands Section’s first event of this winter season is on Saturday November 19th 2016 at Sharnford Village Hall (LE10 3PP) from 10:00 for coffee and a 10:30 start until 16:30, with lunch at the Countryman Pub just across the Road. There will be a charge of £4 to cover the hall and coffee and tea. The Countryman serves good value pub food.

Now that you've digested the turkey, and, hopefully, escaped or recovered from the winter flu, may I remind you of our planned meeting for February.

East Midlands section meeting Spring 2014

The date is Sunday 16 March and will be in Houghton, a village between Cambridge and Huntingdon, but this time in a hall with more effective heating! The main speaker will be James Collier, who fascinated us with his account of Arctic cruising last year. james talk will be on 'the forces on a boat due to wind and water' and will offer some insights on subjects as diverse as anchoring and fuel consumption.

East Midlands Section Day Meeting - RYA First Aid Course

RYA First Aid (provided by the Swift Valley Sea School)

This one-day course covers all the usual first aid subjects, but from a boating perspective. It is aimed at anyone who goes afloat, whether on inland waters, rivers, estuaries or on cross channel passages.
