Come along to a Crewing Service meeting to find out what and where your next sailing adventure could be, whether you’re a skipper looking for crew or a crew member looking to build miles, gain experience on different boats in different places or simply enjoy pottering on local waters.
As the limits on numbers allowed into CA House may be restricted to adhere to social distancing guidance this, and future Crewing Service meetings, may require booking rather than being the drop in events of the past. We’ll post details here nearer the time and note these in the meeting reminder email.
Meetings start at 19:00, and the bar will be open and food available from 18:45.
The possibility of holding meetings via Zoom is being investigated and we’ll provide details in due course if this goes forward.
However the meeting proceeds, even if ‘virtually’ via Zoom, there will be ample opportunity for skippers to talk about their plans for the next season and what they’re looking for in crew. Skippers and crew can then chat and get to know each other a little before making potential plans for next season.
Date: Thursday 3 December 2020
Place: CA House (if restrictions allow, see above)
The CA’s Crewing Service affords a wide variety of opportunities for crew from coastal day-hopping to ocean passages and just about everything in between as well as an array of different boats. It allows skippers to find crew to help them cruise further, stand watches on overnight passages or just enjoy the additional help from another pair of hands aboard as well as the extra company.
