Local Information

12/05/20: British nationals with Lithuanian residency, or the right to work or study in Lithuania, or who are family members of Lithuanian citizens, may enter the country, but will be required to self-isolate for 14 days.

07/05/20: From 15th May the internal borders between Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia will be opened to allow free movement of citizens of those countries. [CA Baltic Section]

25/04/20: Borders remain closed but people from other countries keeping their boat in Lithuania are allowed entry to collect the boat and then proceed to their own country. From 27th April all shops in supermarket malls can open. [CA Baltic Section].

18/04/20: Limited passenger ferry services are operating between Klaipeda and Kiel (Germany), and Klaipeda and Karlshamn (Sweden).

16/04/20: Harbours and clubs are not closed and it is permitted to launch boats. Sailing and fishing in the sea is permitted but only within Lithuanian territorial waters. Only 2 persons permitted to be on the same boat unless they are from same family. Land borders are closed – only freight traffic permitted to pass. Access for local boat owners is allowed, so people can work on their boats and prepare them for a new season.
