Local Information

22/05/20: Easing of lockdown restrictions announced for Northern Ireland. Outdoor activities that do not involve shared contact with hard surfaces, including sailing, are now permitted. No restrictions on land travel within NI. Up to 6 people from different households can meet provided outdoors, and social distancing. See RYA Northern Ireland website for details.

The position on staying on board overnight is unclear, so should be checked before doing so. The Health Minister has stated that people should not travel to second homes or caravans, so as in England this may be considered to apply equally to not staying overnight on board yachts.

23/03/20: Rathlin Island closed to all except medical and emergency services.
