Med Section Meeting and Talk: The Spirit of the Mediterranean - Rod Heikell

Rod Heikell has sailed the Mediterranean for over 40 years having originally been inspired by The Odyssey. He has extensive knowledge of its coasts, waters, and of its history, and has written many cruising guides and other books about it. He also has a store of great stories to tell so this will be a light-hearted talk about his cruising there past and present along with the opportunity to ask questions of an expert on all matters Mediterranean!

Much of Rod's talk will be based on a few chapters from his new book, The Gift of a Sea, and copies will be available to purchase on the night. Alternatively the book is available online at Taniwha Press UK.

Rod's talk will follow our annual Med Section meeting. In addition to discussing Section business, our meeting will be a chance to meet fellow members and share experiences and tales of your Med cruising over a meal and a few drinks.
