Med Section Meeting & Talk – Thursday 20th February 2014
Commencing at 18:45 we will have the usual, very brief, Section meeting to update on latest news etc.
At 19:15 Julian and Vanessa Dussek will then give a talk entitled To or from the Mediterranean via the Canals and Rivers of France.
In 2006 Julian and Vanessa Dussek took their boat through France to the Mediterranean and in 2011 decided to return and explore the hinterland of Europe via the canals and rivers in their yacht ‘Pluto.’
They will talk about their experiences of making these journeys and in particular the challenges that accompany taking a sailing yacht though the canals.
If you are planning to go to or come from the Mediterranean this way or have often wondered what’s inland as you sail along the coast, this is for you!
As usual, participants will be able to order supper at the bar to eat after the talk, or before if you are really early!
