The Society Islands: A Pacific Paradise

The Society Islands: A Pacific Paradise

Paul Brown

In March 2016, the crew of “Little Wing” willingly abandoned the cold, rainy days of boat maintenance and instead took a bus, train, three planes and a truck to arrive at the Society Islands in French Polynesia for a sailing charter. Paul and family were able to enjoy 2 weeks of cruising around this Pacific paradise, exploring the islands of Raiatea, Tahaa, Bora Bora and Huahine, and the numerous small islands and motus found within the lagoons of these reef-enclosed islands. In this talk, Paul will discuss chartering in this remote corner of the world, and with numerous photos and videos, demonstrate why this region is often referred to as the Pearl of the Pacific.
