Morning speaker  – Sue Sutherland on ‘Keeping in Touch While Cruising’.

Afternoon speakers - Richard and Helen Blackmore on ‘Managing a Long Absence From Home’.

Sue Sutherland sails in the Mediterranean for about four months each year with her husband Ron. When at home she is the web editor for the CA and also keeps an eye on the website when abroad, using a variety of ways to connect to the internet. She likes to keep in touch with friends and family. Sue will offer you suggestions as to why and how you can connect to the internet while aboard, balancing your predicted usage, cruising area and budget.

Richard and Helen will talk about their experiences of being away from home for 5-6 months each year, which they have done for the last 11 years. They will cover topics such as: leaving your house empty, insurance, what to do with your post, transport and leaving your car.

The day promises to be informative and fun, with plenty of opportunity discuss the topics and to catch up with friends.

The cost will be £ 3.00 per person £ 5.00 for guests or non-members. Please return the attached booking form as soon as possible.

A 2-course lunch can be pre-booked at a special price of £ 13.95. Please see the attached menu to make your choices. The last date for pre-booking lunch is Saturday 6 November. Pay on the day.
