The Cruising Association (CA) is acknowledged as the leading organisation for sail and motor cruisers, with over 6,400 members around the world.

Founded in 1908, the Cruising Association is at the heart of the world’s cruising community as a leading provider of trustworthy knowledge and information.

The CA and Groupo Trabajo Orca Atlantica (GTOA - Atlantic Orca Working Group) have partnered to launch a new online reporting platform for sail and motor vessels to register orca interactions and sightings along the Iberian Peninsula, in order to better understand the orca’s behaviour and identify ways to help skippers avoid interactions and reduce damage to their vessels.

Since January 2022, we have been showcasing just a few of the 6,500+ locations featured on the CA’s exclusive to members CAptain’s Mate app.

Each month we highlight a CAptain’s Mate location to inspire your cruising adventures and share the vast extent of information on our exclusive to members CAptain’s Mate app.

In April, the CA launched its Refer a Friend monthly prize draw, which runs through until the end of September 2022.

A celebration of support and contribution to the Cruising Association was hosted at the Flag Officers’ Lunch on Saturday 2 April 2022, with CA Patron Sir Robin Knox-Johnston and CA Honorary Member Mike Golding as guests of honour.

Members from around the UK joined the lunch, together with members of the CA Council and staff for the annual get-together and presentation of the Challenge Awards, which recognise outstanding contribution to the association.
