Chess Valley Walk and Pub Lunch

CA members are invited to join the Gerrards Cross Sailing Association (GXSA) for an enjoyable walk in the countryside around Chenies village followed by a self-funded pub lunch at 12.00 at the Red Lion Pub, Village Road, Chenies WD3 6ED.
If you’re not up to walking, just come for lunch.
The plan is to meet up in the car park at the Red Lion Pub at 10:15, with the walk starting at 10:30. Two alternate walking routes are shown on the map that will be provided; the orange line walk is 3.25 miles, the black line walk is 2 miles. If you follow the walk clockwise on the map (recommended), you get a steep downhill start, going through Chenies and down to the Chess River, then a more gradual return back to the Red Lion.
After lunch you might wish to visit the Chenies Manor House and gardens (fee for entry, 5 mins walk from the pub) which opens on Mondays between 14:00 and 17:00 hrs.
We’ll update the GXSA website, on the morning of the walk, if there are any changes to our plans (e.g. foul weather).
