Details

Thursday 19th March at 19.00 UTC:  Sailing Round Britain; Planning, practicalities, highlights and pitfalls - Derek Lumb
Once you have decided to sail round Britain  you are faced with a number of choices..

· Clockwise or anti-clockwise?

· What do you go round?

· England Wales  and part of Scotland (via the  Caledonian Canal)

· Round England Wales and Scotland (Including the northern Isles?)  etc.

· How long should we allow?

· Equipment?

· Crew  changes?

· Costs?

When Derek watched Blue Peter’s  John Noakes’ voyage with his dog Shep it made him want to do two things - Get a Border Collie and Sail round Britain.

30 years later Derek and his wife Jean set off in their Westerly Typhoon with their Border Collie Meg to sail round Britain.  Since then  they have sailed round Britain, one way or another, six more times with their Border Collie(s) . In the process they  have found somethings work and somethings are a mistake.  Learn from their experience  and join us  for the webinar.
