When Derek watched Blue Peter’s John Noakes’ voyage with his dog Shep it made him want to do two things - Get a Border Collie and Sail round Britain.
30 years later Derek and his wife Jean set off in their Westerly Typhoon with their Border Collie Meg to sail round Britain. Since then they have sailed round Britain, one way or another, six more times with their Border Collie(s) . In the process they have found somethings work and somethings are a mistake.
