Details
Rich Walker is a professional diver and diving instructor who has been involved in underwater exploration, conservation, and research for more than 30 years. He has completed over 3,000 dives around the world, ranging from historic shipwrecks to underwater caves, and has worked on marine conservation projects across Europe and Southeast Asia. Rich is the Chairman of Ghost Fishing UK, a charity dedicated to locating and removing lost and abandoned fishing gear from the seabed before it can continue to trap and kill marine life. The Ghost Fishing consortium works closely with the fishing community to promote sustainable practices, cooperating to protect our seas.
Talks are run by GXSA on Wednesday evenings from October to December and January to March at Colston Hall. See details of getting there and parking here.
Prior to the talks, members may want to have an evening meal, for which there are various options:
