CA Volunteers attend Buckingham Palace Garden Party

Some 8,000 guests - including representatives from charities supported by the Royal Family and individuals recognised through their public and voluntary service - enjoyed tea and cakes in the sunshine at Buckingham Palace on Friday 8 May.

Their Royal Highnesses The Prince and Princess of Wales hosted the second Garden Party of the season on behalf of His Majesty The King, welcoming guests from across the UK in recognition of their contributions to organisations and communities.

The Cruising Association was honoured to receive an invitation from HRH The Princess Royal, an Honorary Member of the CA.

Alison and John Hadley, London Section Secretaries and current or former members, between them, of Council, Finance, Marketing, the Cruising Editorial Group and the Section Secretaries’ Group, attended the event representing the many volunteers who support the CA’s work.

Reflecting on the occasion, they said, “We had a rather wonderful afternoon!”
