The countdown to the Southampton International Boat Show is underway, and the Cruising Association is looking forward to welcoming members, prospective members and cruising enthusiasts to Stand H244 in New Wave Hall South from 18–27 September 2026.
Whether you're taking your first steps into cruising, planning a coastal adventure, exploring Europe's inland waterways, or preparing for an offshore voyage, the CA is here to support every stage of your cruising journey.
The CA stand is always a vibrant hub throughout the Boat Show - a place to discover what's new, gather expert advice, share experiences, catch up with friends and talk all things cruising.
While our full programme is still being finalised, visitors can look forward to a packed schedule of information, expertise, competitions and social events.
Meet the Experts
Throughout the show, a series of informal drop-in sessions will provide the opportunity to meet some of our specialist volunteers who make the CA such a valuable resource for cruisers.
Already confirmed are representatives from:
- Regulatory & Technical Services Group (RATS): pop by to have your technical and regulatory questions answered.
- CA Sections: including the Channel, European Inland Waterways (EIWS), Mediterranean and MotorboatMotorboat Sections will share first-hand knowledge and cruising insights.
- Cruising Information Development Group (CIDG): the team behind the Cruising Almanac and CAptain's Mate as well as other cruising resources, will help you make the most of the CA's extensive information.
- Crewing Service: connecting skippers and crew for everything from local sailing opportunities to ocean passages
The full programme and timings will be announced by early August.
Cruising Information
The show will see the launch of the 2027 Cruising Almanac, available to buy at £28 for members and £38 for non-members.
Visitors will also be able to explore the CA's award-winning CAptain's Mate and discover how its database of more than 20,000 reports covering over 9,000 locations worldwide can help with passage planning and cruising research.
Prizes
There will be plenty of opportunities to win throughout the show.
Our headline prize, open to all visitors to the stand, is a Wescom sMRT SHIELD+ Personal Locator Beacon.
New members joining during the show will also be entered into exclusive prize draws, while existing members can enter our Summer Prize Draw to win a Ship Shape Bedding Marine+ Air-Flow Mattress, including a DRY-Mat anti-condensation underlay, fitted sheet and mattress protector, bespoke to your boat, worth £2,500.
Members can also enter our 'Spot the Difference' competition for the chance to win one of two pairs of complimentary Boat Show tickets. Try your luck - entries close at 1500 hrs on 31 July 2026.
Join the CA at the Boat Show
You can't put a price on the CA's cruising expertise, knowledge and community, but we can make joining a little easier.
Visitors who join the CA at the Boat Show will receive 20% off their first year's Full Membership when paying by Direct Debit. The special show rate of (normally £172) £138 is available for individual membership or two members at the same address.

The CA stand will once again host daily socials, providing a chance to meet fellow members and share cruising experiences.

Discounted Show Tickets
The CA is pleased to offer discounted Boat Show tickets to members and non-members. Use code CRUISASS to purchase an adult ticket for £19.99, including up to two free child tickets (aged 16 and under).
The offer applies to both peak and off-peak day admission tickets and is available until 1 August 2026.
