Vacancy: Part Time Receptionist / Events Administrator

We are searching for an energetic and confident team member who is self-sufficient and able to demonstrate forward thinking skills. Our chosen Receptionist must demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, members, and other departments within the CA. This will require excellent writing skills and telephone manners.

Duties of Post Holder:

• Screening inbound calls
• Handling incoming emails from several inboxes, tracking, and responding as required
• Undertaking general office administrative duties as required
• Potential attendance at some internal events at CA House which may include evening and weekend work (agreed in advance)
• Creating and administering events via the online booking system
• Communicating with event organisers to ensure requirements are documented and met
• Liaising with Catering Manager to ensure sharing of information relating to events
• Processing all CA Shop orders, payments and deliveries
• Assisting in the organisation and maintenance of the Information Centre, including all resource materials in paper and electronic form, in accordance with Association policies
• Help administer the lending system for library books to members
• Providing a reception service including receiving visitors and members, responding to enquiries and taking messages
• Taking accommodation and room hire bookings when necessary, alongside monitoring bookings via the booking system and ensuring all necessary administration is completed
• Liaising with housekeeping to ensure booked rooms are clean and available for use

Based in London’s scenic Limehouse Basin, the CA offers flexible working, a friendly team environment and opportunities for progression and training.

Working Hours: 25 hours per week, with scope to increase. Monday – Friday on a flexible basis, though a few hours each day is preferred.
