We hear about ocean current collapse, tipping points, conveyor shutdown, marine life at risk but what is really going in our oceans and how will it affect us and other parts of the world? Professor Ansorge will separate the science from the spin.

The talks are run jointly with GXSA on Wednesday evenings from October to December and January to March at Colston Hall. See details of getting there and parking here.

Prior to the talks, may wish to meet other members for a drink or a coffee in the bar or there are various local options for an early evening meal:

• The Apple Tree (Gastropub: fairly close to Colston Hall, entering from the south (M25) or the West from the M40 Beaconsfield junction is the Apple Tree (Gastropub) on the A40 at the junction with East Common Road.

• The Journeyman pub & restaurant within walking distance of Colston Hall
