Dave is a biodiversity specialist at the Environment Agency who chairs River Partnerships in London. He will tell us about maintaining the health of the river and the many aspects of river safety that must be taken care of every day on the Thames and other rivers.
The talks are run jointly with GXSA on Wednesday evenings from October to December and January to March at Colston Hall. See details of getting there and parking here.
Prior to the talks, may wish to meet other members for a drink or a coffee in the bar or there are various local options for an early evening meal:
- The Apple Tree (Gastropub: fairly close to Colston Hall, entering from the south (M25) or the West from the M40 Beaconsfield junction is the Apple Tree (Gastropub) on the A40 at the junction with East Common Road.
- The Ethorpe Hotel and Restaurant: entering from the North from the Amersham direction along the B416 towards the town centre.
