The long running saga of the Greek Cruising Tax, known as the TEPAI, was due for implementation on 2 April 2019 following the first attempt to introduce it in 2014.
On Thursday May 9th, the Greek Government finally put the Tax into operation.
With over 4,500 nautical charts to its name, the CA’s chart collection at CA House, is possibly the largest in the world and provides an abundant passage-planning resource for its members.
Over the Easter weekend, CA members and staff joined hundreds of well-wishers in Falmouth, Cornwall, as well as many of Britain’s leading sailors, in paying tribute to Sir Robin on the 50th anniversary of the date he made history. At 15.25 on 22nd April 1969, he entered the record books as the first person to sail solo, non-stop, around the world.

Marine safety experts Ocean Safety have recently held another of their successful and highly engaging Safety Days for 50 CA members and staff, at CA House in London. The day was a resounding success for all the attendees who were eager to learn from the specialists.
