"Did you sail here? Family adventures in the Baltic with a trailer sailer"

Charles Erb will tell us how you can explore the Stockholm archipelago in your own boat and still have full time employment and children in school. But - he has a trailer-sailer which he towed out to Sweden so was able to have a sailing holiday without taking more time than "holidays" allowed.  Charles came to our Seminar and was encouraged both by what he learned from the presentations and from talking to other folk – which all helped give him the confidence to take on his adventure. 

“Rügen 2015” the 2015 Baltic Rally – 5^th to 12^th July 2015.  This will be a cruise-in-company in the sheltered waters around Rügen (Germany) starting in Stralsund and ending in Swinoujscie in Poland. The 2015 Rally will be led by Nicholas Hill..  If you are interested please contact the Section Secretaries – download a registration form now.

Arctic Adventures – A Journey from Ramsgate to Spitsbergen and Back – talk by Des Crampton.  CA House 1900.  Admission free for CA Members.  Non-members £7.

 All day event, including presentations on Baltic sailing, country-specific stalls, bring and buy sale of charts and nautical equipment – a must for those going to the Baltic for the first time or anyone wishing to explore further.  Buffet lunch included.  Advance booking necessary through the Section only (not via CA House) – download a form now.

An opportunity for everyone to meet and renew old friendships.   If you have attended any of the Baltiic Rallies starting

with the Millennium Rally do come along - and particularly if you were part of Kuressaare 2014. Not just for rallygoers

though - all Baltic Section members are welcome.  Just come along to share your experiences of Baltic sailing.  Meals and drinks

can be purchased from the bar.

Begin your Festive Season by joining us at this event!

Please come and join us for Carols at St Anne's Limehouse on Wednesday 17th December.  The evening begins with mulled wine and minced pies at CA House before a wonderful short walk along the star-lit canal path as the bells of St Anne's ring out. Then join in the Candlelight Carol service at St Anne's; one of the most beautiful of Hawksmoor's churches.  After our walk back along the canal path, there is Christmas supper at CA House where you can chat with old friends and make new ones.

Talk by James Yarrow about his experiences in Norway and Sweden and trucking his boat across.   The evening will also include a briefing for the Kuressaare 2014 rally with Nicholas Hill.
