In this talk Andy will look at how to miss them, how to moor to them and what there is to see on them. He will take us on a cook’s tour round many of the Baltic countries to see what they have to offer gastronomically, culturally and their different cruising opportunities.
In 2020, Covid-19 meant a very short season for many. Lovely as the Ionian islands are, they get very crowded these days, with boats cluttering every harbour and anchorage. Mick’s and Susan’s intention had always been to head east into the Aegean, and the week spent sailing through the Gulf of Corinth was wonderful and not long enough.

Completing a circumnavigation had been a long held ambition for Anne and Jonathan Lloyd for many years. In June 2014 they embarked on this venture in their Malo 42 - Sofia, which took them just over 5 years to complete. Their talk will cover their preparations, route taken and the adventures and misadventures encountered along the way including rigging failure during their Pacific crossing, grounding in Fiji and a lightning strike on their homeward leg from the Azores to the UK.
In summer 2020 during a brief respite from lockdowns, Tim helped deliver an Ovni 395 from the Aegean to Milford Haven. His talk is an account of crossing an untypically quiet Mediterranean, coping with Covid restrictions ashore, and undertaking a midnight rescue before progressing up the Atlantic coast of Spain, Portugal & France, arriving in Wales some 3000 miles & four weeks after leaving Leros.
London has always relied upon the Thames Estuary, but the place is a mystery even for many Londoners. Rob’s talk starts in East London and follows the river to the sea. Along the way, he will tell you some of the stories from the history of the area, and about places to visit in real life.
