This talk is designed to give an overview of all of the elements involved in ocean passage making on a sailing vessel, with particular emphasis on the impact of developments over the last 10 or 15 years and how they can be used to assist.

The Moody Story

David Moody is one of the 6th generation of Moodys to have run the family business and has worked for the company for over 40 years, until the date of its sale in December 2005. His niche area was new boat development, sales and marketing.

His talk supports the book 'The Moody Legacy', which covers the complete story of the company's development over some 175 years. The book and the talk contain many period photographs including yachts built by the company or bearing their name.
