Lobster Pot Campaign

Marked Gear = Safe Gear is a CA campaign for Visible, Safe Static Fishing Gear.

The campaign addresses the safety risk posed by poorly marked static fishing gear in UK waters. The CA is calling for existing Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) voluntary guidance on gear marking in UK waters to be made mandatory and enforceable.

Unmarked gear is difficult to spot, easy to strike, and capable of causing serious damage, disruption, and danger to those on the water.
