Lobster Pot Campaign: Supporters
Join our supporters. Make a difference.
Introduction
The Lobster Pot Campaign is gaining support from across the marine community, with organisations, businesses, clubs, owner associations and well-known sailing personalities coming together to raise awareness of the dangers posed by poorly marked static fishing gear.
Every supporter helps spread campaign’s message and demonstrates the breadth of backing across the marine sector. Together, we are building a stronger collective voice calling for safer, better-marked fishing gear.
We would love to welcome more supporters and recognise their involvement. Whether you encourage reporting, share campaign messages or distribute materials, every contribution helps extend our reach and makes a difference to strengthen the campaign.
Encouraging reporting is one of the most important ways to help. By asking boaters to report sightings of poorly marked static fishing gear and incidents of entanglement through the RYA's reporting platform, you can help build the evidence needed to demonstrate the scale of the problem and support the case for change.
You can also help spread the word by displaying and distributing our campaign flyers and pocket-sized pick-up cards. Available free of charge, the A4 and A5 flyers and pick-up cards are ideal for sailing clubs, marinas, harbour offices, chandleries, training centres and other marine organisations.
To become a campaign supporter or request free flyers and pick-up cards, please email lobsterpots@theca.org.uk.
