2025 Members’ Big Winter Prize Draw Winner Announced – Congratulations to Angela Holness

The Cruising Association is delighted to announce the winner of the 2025 Members’ Big Winter Prize Draw, generously sponsored by The Yacht Leg and Cradle Company.

Following a fantastic response from members, the prize draw closed on Wednesday 18 March 2026, with the lucky winner receiving a choice of Yacht Legs, Boat Stands or Cradles worth up to £3,000.

Congratulations to CA member Angela Holness, who was both surprised and delighted to receive the news.

"I was astonished by the phone call that told me that I had won the draw for a yacht cradle," said Angela. "My husband and I do tend to enter any interesting free prize draws that come up, and we’ve certainly both made a habit of entering the CA’s draws especially as the prizes are usually very relevant to our interests. But we never remotely expect to win anything!

As it turns out, the timing of the prize couldn’t be better. While their current boat is a bilge-keeler, perfectly suited to sitting in the yard without a cradle or on a sandbank without legs, they have been considering a future change. Angela shares, "We have been chewing over the possibility of a change, and the opportunity of a free transportable cradle is very appealing and something which will broaden our choice of future boat. Huge thanks to the CA and the Yacht Leg & Cradle Company."
