CA London

Biscay Adventures for the Unadventurous, Richard Tucker

Details

It’s a well-worn track that leads from the Solent to South Brittany, yet for Sarah and Richard Tucker aboard their Oceanis 38.1 Rosalita it still felt like embarking on an adventure, leaving family and friends, not to mention an empty house, for three to four months. For this is not a tale of derring-do, rather the exploits of ordinary folk who in prior years would have not given a thought to such folly. They roundly blame the CA members for instilling these dreams and the confidence to follow them and will be forever grateful that they did, as they discovered a wonderful cruising ground in a lovely region full of interest and curiosities both on and off the water.

Richard won the New Horizons trophy in the CA log competition for his record of this trip.
