On Thursday 14th January 2027 Chris Passmore tells the remarkable story of his grandfather Brian Passmore and his yacht Thea - from her construction on the River Medway at Yalding to competing in the 1965 Fastnet Race. The talk is illustrated with films shot by Brian himself, capturing both the building of Thea and the drama of the Fastnet, and may be screened on an authentic 16mm projector. The evening will also feature a model of Thea built by Brian, together with the yacht's original logs and a display of artefacts from Thea and the other yachts sailed by the Passmore family over the years.
