Meredith Scanlon will tell us how they have surveyed the sea floor beneath our familiar sailing waters; and how the survey methods have changed in our lifetime. She is the Surveyor for Harwich Harbour Authority.

The Talk on Zoom: You will be able to join us from anywhere you can get online, using your PC, laptop, tablet or smartphone, and enjoy the talk and see any illustrations.
The event will start with a few announcements and introductions. Meredith will then speak for about an hour, followed by questions and answers. That will be the end of the Talk part of the meeting but if you wish, you could stay with us and join in with the following:
Social: PICTURE - THE "CAPE HORN" OF OUR SAILING EXPERIENCE. After the talk would you be prepared to share a picture and to say a few words within a small group of members? If so, check that your device has a webcam and microphone, please have your picture ready, and stay connected after the talk. Alternatively, this time, you could just watch and listen to the other members.
