Sharks, Storms, Loneliness: an interview with Sir Robin Knox-Johnston

"I’m just a sailor like everyone else…" Sir Robin Knox-Johnston

In April, the CA will be proudly joining in the celebrations in recognition of the 50th Anniversary of its Patron Sir Robin Knox-Johnston’s arrival back in Falmouth (Cornwall) after his legendary solo non-stop round the world voyage in 1968-69.

The CA is therefore delighted to share a fascinating, frank and gentle 24-minute video interview recorded with Sir Robin on board Suhaili last Summer.

Entitling his video ‘Sharks, Storms, Loneliness’ the Swiss interviewer René Donzé, an Editor with NZZ am Sonntag, sets out to discover how a British adventurer became the only man to survive the first solo non-stop circumnavigation of the world and go on to win the infamous Sunday Times Golden Globe Race.
