Saturday February 22nd 2014, SW and Lyme Bay Sections joint winter gathering, Doina Cornell; Child of the Sea.Our speaker will be Doina, our lunch will be a buffet provided by Delicious Delights and during the discussion members will share experiences of longer distance off shore cruising, including ‘the things we wouldn’t be without’! Doina is as many will know daughter of the renowned blue-water yachtsman Jimmy Cornell, she will be speaking on her childhood sailing round the world and to exciting places even now little visited. She has recently published a book about this, ‘Child of the Sea’, and copies will be on sale.
