Filmshow ‘The Riddle of the Sands’ followed by a talk by its producer Drummond Challis; ‘Building the Dulcebella’. This last event of our winter programme will be a bit special, as members who have been to one of Drummond’s previous talks will know he is a very good speaker. Finding a boat and converting it to be the Dulcibella for the film was one of the major tasks Drummond, as a keen sailor, undertook before filming started, it needed to be a proper boat but a ‘set’ as well, we will hear how it was achieved.
