Rowing the Atlantic by Matt Craughwell

Matt Craughwell on the story of his adventures rowing the Atlantic Ocean aboard Sara G, an Australian built 36' Ocean Rowing boat. He will tell how, from an initial idea to he broke the world record inside two years, including the failed attempts, the success and how he was finally shipwrecked mid-Atlantic.

Find out what it is like to live with 6 men in such a small vessel for over a month, and how you cope with 33 days of a two hours on, two hours off rowing routine. They were 27 days into their journey when the 36ft (11.1m) vessel overturned at 11am on Monday, 31st January 2012, 520 miles from their destination the men were picked up from a life raft by a Panamanian-flagged cargo ship.
