Cream Tea with the Queen

 

Thursday 8th September 2022 meeting at Gillingham Pier at 14:00

An opportunity to visit the historic paddle steamer Medway Queen at Gillingham Pier. The Medway Queen was launched in 1924 and was involved in mine sweeping in the Second World War and was also a Dunkerque Little Ship. She has a fascinating history and volunteers work hard to preserve her.

The entrance fee is £5.00 which is payable on the day which is inclusive of tea and coffee and allows entrance for a year. A cream tea on the ship is available at an additional cost of £5.00 per person. 

This visit is open to members and their guests. If you would like to attend please contact the Kent Secretaries by the end of August and also let us know if you would like a cream tea. Some parking is available on the pier and in front of the visitors centre. Please contact us if you would like further information.
