A two topic meeting: Tim and Liz Dodwell on their recent West Country, Scillies and S E Ireland cruise followed by CA Member Richard Flegg on his recent cruise around the UK via the Caledonian Canal.
Section Secretaries Tim and Liz Dodwell will give an illustrated talk about their cruise last June and July to the Isles of Scilly, Milford Haven and to the south-eastern tip of Ireland.
Tim and Liz will tell how they got there and what they found, as well as their experiences from previous visits. In addition to visits to harbours well-known and those that are less-visited, there will be the usual collection of interesting and classic boats that we met and Tim will be able to tell you all about them!
If you've done it yourselves come down Memory Lane with the speakers, and if you're thinking about doing it Tim and Liz will try to help with a few tips on getting those headlands right with the tides.
Member Richard Flegg will tell about his experiences sailing his catamaran from the Solent to Scotland, through the Caledonian Canal, and back down the east coast.
