Med Section Land Rally to Catalonia
3rd - 7th April 2019 (5 days/4 nights)
Following our very successful Med Section trip to Malta in April this year, we are now planning a trip to Catalonia next April. This is open to all CA members
WHAT’S INCLUDED:
- 5 days /4 nights’ accommodation in twin room at the 4 star GFH Hotel Volga (https://www.hotelvolga.es/en/ ) in Calella township
- Daily breakfast and dinner in buffet restaurant
- Welcome drink and briefing on arrival
- Excursion by bus to Middle Ages villages called the Catalan Toscana: Púbol and Peratallada, visiting Gala Dali Castle. Lunch with water and wine included at a local restaurant. In the afternoon visit to a winery with wine tasting included.
- Excursion to Barcelona by bus, entrance to La Sagrada Familia and guided visit in this cosmopolitan city.
- Excursion to Figueres by bus. Entrance to the Museum Dali.
- Guided walking tour in Girona.
- Catalan farewell dinner in a local restaurant with water & wine included
- Full assistance from arrival to hotel until departure with English speaking guide

ITINERARY DAY BY DAY
Wed 3rd April: Arrival and Welcome
Check in at GFH Hotel Volga in Calella township, a charming small accommodation, at 50 meters from the beach and the main shopping centre with cafés and restaurants. Welcome meeting and drink at the hotel bar with your local guide. Dinner in the hotel restaurant buffet style included.
Thur 4th April: Middle Ages Villages, Dalí and Wine tasting
Breakfast in the hotel
Meeting with your local guide at the reception to depart by bus (50 minutes journey) on a day trip to Empordà area and Middle Ages villages of Girona Region: Púbol and Peratallada.
Visit Gala Dalí Castle in Púbol (included). Lunch at a local restaurant included with wine and water
Visit a Winery with wine tasting included.
Return by bus to the hotel. Dinner in the hotel restaurant buffet style included.
Fri 5th April: Barcelona Highlights and Sagrada Familia
Breakfast in the hotel
Meeting with your local guide to depart on aday trip to Barcelona by bus. Visit to La Sagrada Familia one of the most amazing buildings in the world.
Guided Walking around the Gothic quarter following the Roma’s and Medieval footprints. Discover charming corners out of the crowd and be amazed by the Modernism architecture of Gaudi.
Free time for lunch (lunch not included).
Free time for shopping or following your guide to visit more hidden places of the city.
Dinner in the hotel restaurant buffet style included.
Sat 6th April: Figueres Museum Dalí and Girona
Breakfast in the hotel
Meeting with your local guide to depart on a day trip to Figueres by bus. Visit to Museum Dalí.
Free time for lunch (lunch not included).
Guided walking tour in the medieval quarter of Girona, the old city Centre.
The group will be accompanied by a local English speaking person.
Typical Catalan dinner in a local restaurant with water and wine included.

The cost will be £495 per person, half-board on a double occupancy basis. Flights and airport transfers are not included in the price.
Girona is the nearest airport, but Barcelona airport is also OK– just slightly longer transfers.
Shuttle transfer from Girona = £17 each way per person
Shuttle transfer from Barcelona = £27 each way per person
Private transfer from Girona or Barcelona = £125 each way per car (1-4 passengers)
£135 each way per car (5-8 passengers)
Also, other additions available, if required:
Single room supplement = £30 per night
Extra Nights = £42 per person per night on Bed & Breakfast
£57 per person per night on Half Board
We would require a deposit of £100 per person with the balance due by 1st March 2019.
