Forget Wimbledon, Glyndebourne and shanty singing at the Rose and Crown. The premier social event of the summer is the Mediterranean Section Summer Party! You'll also have an opportunity to meet Rod and Lu Heikell, authors of numerous Med Pilot books including Greek Waters Pilot, Italian Waters Pilot and many more.

Each person/couple provides either a savoury platter/salad or a pudding.

Our annual two-day seminar is an ideal event for anyone cruising the Med for the first time and those already in the Med and planning to move to new cruising grounds. CA members and non-members are welcome.

Our keynote speakers will be Rod and Lu Heikell, with additional talks from CA members including Vyv Cox.

Annie Varvill and Chris Boutwood will present their experiences of sailing and over wintering in Tunisia.

Our Med Section autumn meeting will be an opportunity for members to discuss the best way forward (e.g. volunteers, new ideas) for the Section as Peggie Manton and Sarah Stevens will be standing down as Section Secretaries at the end of 2024.

Our annual and ever popular Section Summer Party is a great opportunity to meet CA friends and make new ones, share your experiences from the season to date and plans for the rest of the season and the next, all in a relaxed and sociable atmosphere with great food and a few drinks!

You'll be asked to bring a dish of food, either savoury or dessert. Details of which dish to bring will be sent once you book to attend and numbers are confirmed nearer the date.

This two-day seminar is aimed at those both cruising the Med for the first time and those planning to move to new cruising grounds. Speakers are all Med CA members keen to share their knowledge and exchange ideas with the audience too. The whole weekend also offers the opportunity to meet fellow Med sailors, chat about experiences, future plans and all things cruising in a convivial environment.

After cruising around NW Europe and the Adriatic for 36 years in a variety of boats, and having a full involvement in the activities of the CA, Stuart has experienced more than a few of those "Sods Law" cruising moments.He has selected some events and experiences that he hopes will entertain you, and possibly help you to avoid such situations in the future. What could possibly go wrong?
