CRUISING ASSOCIATION - TUNISIAN LAND RALLY IN THE SPRING OF 2013
The Mediterranean Section has organised a land rally to Tunisia which will take place in April 2013.This five night, six day, two centre, escorted trip will visit many of the historical and archaeological sites in North Eastern Tunisia.
Dates TUESDAY APRIL 9TH – SUNDAY 14TH 2013
Cost - £599 per person
This all inclusive price will include:
Scheduled flights from Heathrow, transfers, accommodation in a 5 star hotel, breakfast, lunch and dinner. Professional English speaking tour guide and all excursions and museum entrance fees.
The guide books tell us that: “Spring is the most colourful season to visit Tunisia, with many flowers in bloom. April is ideal for exploring the country, the heat is not oppressive yet daytime temperatures can rise above 200 C”
The trip will visit :
- Tunis- Ancient Medina, Monumental Great Mosque, World famous Bardo Museum
- Carthage- Ancient Phoenician and Roman site
- Sidi Bou Said-Artist village
- Bulla Regia-Roman Site, subterranean Roman villas with mosaics still in situ
- Dougga-Best preserved Roman city in North Africa
- El Jem - World’s third largest Roman Amphitheatre
- Sousse –Walled Medina, excellent museum and sandy beach
- Port el Kantaoui- Modern sea-side town
- Kairouan, UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site, with ‘Famous Great Mosque’
There will of course be free time for you to enjoy more exploration and/or relaxation!
Accommodation in five star hotels, three nights in Tunis and two in Port El Kantaoui near Sousse. Both hotels have swimming pools. The El Mouradi Gammarth (Tunis) is situated alongside a sandy beach, and El Mouradi Palace is located in the heart of the resort of Port El Kantaoui, alongside a superb beach.

The trip is open to all CA members and costs £599 per person.
£50 non returnable deposit per person to cover reservations will secure a place. The remaining balance to be paid by 1st March 2013. Due to high demand, this trip will be limited to CA members and their partners.
