Electronics masterclass with Tom Cunliffe, Saturday 9th November 2013
Once we navigated oceans by the stars. Now it’s barely imaginable to cross the Thames without a computer. If you’ve ever been baffled by the array of technology available to the modern yachtsmen and left wondering what is useful and what is just good marketing, this is for you.
Tom and friends return to give an updated version of this popular seminar we first staged three years ago. Tom is a prolific author, a prizewinning TV and radio presenter, and an outstanding public speaker. At home with star sights and sextants, he is also the author of The Electronic Yachtmaster. Who better to guide us through the maze.
Booking: Tickets are £45 per person for members and £75 for non-members. A sandwich lunch is provided. Non-members who sign up to join the CA by direct debit on the day will receive a £30 discount off their first year’s membership. Start time is 10am, and the class aims to finish between 4.30pm and 5pm.
