Round the world in 6 years, Graeme & Gillian Mulcahy

Round the world in six years, by Graeme and Gillian Mulcahy

Graeme and Gillian started their circumnavigation in October 2006, crossing the Atlantic the following January. After couple of years cruising the Caribbean and eastern seaboard up to Maine and back, they headed through the Panama Canal into the Pacific Ocean. Via the Pacific Islands they eventually reached Australia, visiting family in Sydney and continuing round by Darwin to Indonesia.  Then by way of Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand, they arrived in the Maldives in 2011 and, after much talk, crossed the Arabian Sea in convoy to Yemen and returned by the Red Sea and Suez Canal to the Med. 40,000 miles later in July 2012 they were home.

Graeme and Gillian will talk about boat preparation, ongoing maintenance and some of the more remote places visited, which made provisioning interesting!
