Dinners and Talks at Blackwater Sailing Club:

Alan Wilson joins us to share his experience and give us practical advice on what to do if you or your crew go overboard. In a follow on to his previous lecture about heavy weather sailing last winter Alan will share the results of years of investigation, during which he has pushed many people overboard and even jumped himself in the course of duty and research!  As we prepare for the coming season Alan will show that even old seadogs can learn lifesaving new tricks.  Please book using the attached booking form.

Have you bought your 2016 Almanac yet? Maybe you’ve spilled varnish on your best t-shirt during the winter refit, lost your favourite cap overboard last season (you really should come to Alan’s talk!), flying a tattered burgee (shame on you!) At our March meeting there will be a one-off opportunity to restock your lockers with CA merchandise. We will bring along a selection of popular items. This is proving a popular way to shop in other sections so we are going to give it a go.   If there is something specific you want, have a look at the website “Shop” pages then email your order to Suzanne and Ray at essex@theca.org.uk 

We will collect the orders from CA House and bring them to the 12^th March meeting so you don’t have to pay P&P charges. We particularly need to know how many Almanacs to bring.  Cash or cheque payments only please on the night.
