Dinner and Talk at the Blackwater Sailing Club, 8/10/16

8th October 2016 Dinner and Talk at Blackwater Sailing Club

Talk by Linda Crew-Gee ‘The Rescue of Gipsy Moth IV’

Fellow CA member Linda Crew-Gee has been sailing all her life, firstly on her father's fishing boat in her homeland, Croatia.

She moved to the UK after university and made London her home, and has lived aboard her own designed canal houseboat on the Regent's Canal for several

years.

As well as being a Cape Horner, Linda has sailed in warmer climes too.

Linda is an engaging speaker and her fascinating talk will tell us about how the famous Gypsy Moth IV was rescued from dry dock in Greenwich and embarked on another circumnavigation, giving young people a chance of a lifetime to sail the oceans.

Please see the latest Essex Section newsletter for the booking details.
