Felixstowe Docks, History and Operations by Simon Mullett -Booking Open

Britain’s biggest and busiest container port handles around two thousand ship movements a year including the world’s largest container ships.

Many East Coast sailors will have passed through Harwich Harbour from time to time and for those based in the Orwell or Stour this is a regular occurrence. Most will have been impressed by the scale of the Port of Felixstowe which can take the world’s largest container ships. Simon Mullett, CFO of Hutchinson Ports and a keen yachtsman himself, will be our guide.
