The Blue Planet Odyssey is a round the world sailing event starting in July 2014, aiming to raise awareness of the global effects of climate change, as rising sea levels threaten to extinguish island communities such as Tuvalu and the Maldives by the end of this century.
The Annual General Meeting is usually the Association’s only formal meeting in the year. The CA is a company limited by guarantee and, therefore, the holding of an AGM is a legal requirement. The Agenda includes a review of the previous year’s activities, together with an opportunity to scrutinise the annual Accounts and deal with issues such as the election of Flag Officers and Council members, all of whom are Directors of the company.
The
Cruising Association (CA) has announced the launch of its very first App, the
‘CAptain’s Mate’, designed by the CA to increase accessibility of its worldwide
cruising information.
The Cruising Association’s newest Section, covering Northern
France and the Channel Islands (NF&CI), is running an eight-day Cruise in Company
to the Channel Islands from 14 - 21 July 2012.

day of the London Boat Show the Cruising Association's Patron, Sir Robin
Knox-Johnston, welcomed Eric Roberts as the 4,000th member of the Association.
The Flag Officer lunch was held on the 7th of January 2012 and presentations were made to members of the CA who have made significant contributions to the CA, both in 2011 and for many years prior to this.

SOUTHAMPTON BOAT SHOW 2011
The Cruising Association will be joining hundreds of exhibitors at the 2011 Southampton Boat show from the 16th- 25th September.
We are eagerly anticipating an involvement with the UK’s leading outdoor boat show, which will once again be showcasing everything the boating world has to offer both on and off the water.
