The fact that Gins Farm was billed as the last summer meet does not preclude another taking place in the autumn so here’s an opportunity to get together somewhere we haven’t been to for a while.
Gosport Marina is probably the most convenient for taking the ferry to Portsmouth if a visit to the Historic Dockyard or Gunwharf Quays takes your fancy. On the Gosport side the Submarine Museum is well worth a visit, if a little further to walk, but to make either worthwhile will probably require arriving on the Friday evening or staying on on Sunday unless you are based locally.
Weather permitting we shall gather on High Barbaree and/or the adjacent pontoon for a glass of wine from 1800 on the Saturday evening, and then migrate to the Boat House Café for a meal at around 1900. Menu options will be circulated to those registering to attend.
The cost for a three-course meal is expected to be in the region of £25, and we will make any necessary adjustments on the day.
