Clifford Mickleburgh on a “Whistle Stop” tour of Europe in Dawn Owl. He spent 50% of his time on his own with Charlie (his dog), taking in Belgium, the Netherlands, Northern Germany, Poland, the Baltic and then home through the Kiel Canal and the Frisian Islands. Find out why Charlie was in the custody of the Berlin River Police!

Girl’s Guide to the Southern Ocean with Linda Crew-Gee who recently completed one of the toughest sea passages on Earth.

This was her lifelong dream. Linda will tell you the story how it came to fruition and what it was like to sail on an old ship, to be at sea for 30 days in tough conditions, with no communication... what she learned about our planet, the sea and the life. If you also love adventure she will aim to inspire you to follow and to fulfil your dreams

Come and join the Essex, Kent and Suffolk sections as we venture across the Estuary and up river to Limehouse for a fun and sociable weekend of sailing, sightseeing and supper!

Places still available and if you can't come by sea you can join us at CA House for Saturday evening's pontoon party & BBQ or the more formal supper on Sunday.

Thursday, 11th December 2014, James and Carol Littlewood

This year James and Carol converted from sail to motor and will relate their experience and how they were welcomed by the Dutch air force as they approached Vlissingen. They will tell us of the Grand Tour. Into Belgium via the Gent Terneuzen Canal, then the Meuse, Canal De L'Est, the Mosel and back via the Rhine and Rotterdam.

James has his own inimitable style, so I am sure that it will prove a good pre Christmas treat !!!
