Grand Tour, James and Carol Littlewood

This year James and Carol converted from sail to motor and will relate their experience and how they were welcomed by the Dutch air force as they approached Vlissingen. They will tell us of the Grand Tour. Into Belgium via the Gent Terneuzen Canal, then the Meuse, Canal De L'Est, the Mosel and back via the Rhine and Rotterdam.

James has his own inimitable style, so I am sure that it will prove a good pre Christmas treat !!!

Roger Bridges, Marine Accident Investigation Branch, Thursday 12th February

Roger Brydges is an inspector with the Marine Accident Investigation Branch who has been with the MAIB since 1996 and has been involved in the investigation of most of the accidents involving sailing vessels that the MAIB have carried out. Roger will tell us about the role of the MAIB and how it fits into the wider marine safety picture, before concentrating on some case studies. Questions are encouraged both during and after.
