19:30 at Parkstone Yacht Club. PC Bruce Murdoch, Chief Instructor for the Dorset Police Marine Section, will give us an account of the wide range of work which this very small group of officers is responsible for over quite a length of coast, and the other agencies that it works with. From what he told me in his office on Poole Quay, we are in for an interesting talk.
19:30 on 19/03/2019 at Parkstone Yacht Club. Extreme Voyagers , Part II: Jeremy Batch. No need to book - just turn up!
Jeremy gave us Part I two years ago, and as ever his erudition left me feeling ashamed of my ignorance. Jeremy has a unique way of both informing and entertaining, and I can't wait for him to fill more gaps in my knowledge.

The Baie de Seine - Stuart King
Stuart was formerly the Section Secretary for the Channel Section, which he led with great enthusiasm and aplomb, and in this talk he will try and enthuse us all with his love of this part of the French Coast.
Wessex Section Christmas Lunch. Parkstone Yacht Club has now postponed its clubhouse move, so the possibility of uncancelling the Christmas lunch has just arisen. A tentative booking has been made, and as of 21.00hrs, 30th. November, all members of the section should have received, or be about to receive, an email about this, to judge whether it is viable to confirm the booking.
A welcome return by the CA’s own popular and highly entertaining speaker, with another of his always meticulously researched and humorously presented talks.
The talk this evening has had to re-arranged, and is not the same as was indicated in the September issue of Cruising.
Bob and Sue Garrett - Baltic and Back in a season
Bob and Sue were advised that they couldn’t “do” the Baltic justice in a season but decided anyway to see as many countries as possible and sailed 3800 miles, mostly day-sailing, and visited nine countries going as far as St.Petersburg on ‘Intrepid’, a Dufour 365.
