Talk:  TS ROYALIST is the Sea Cadets new flagship, a training brig (two square-rigged masts) that takes twenty-four cadets to sea for six day voyages. The vessel was designed by Acubens, built during 2014 / 2015 at the Spanish shipyard of Astilleros Gondan. Colin Watkins is her skipper. Last year he brought her in to Brightlingsea and she only just fit! Colin will tell us about what it's like to skipper a brand new tall ship and about the Sea Cadets and the other vessels they also operate. Note we had originally planned this talk for the 2017/2018 season and we are please to be able to finally get Colin along.

Supper:

Steamed roasted salmon with lime, ginger and chilli

Sesame and ginger meatballs with oak Choi

Roasted mushrooms with pine nuts, halloumi and parsley

Rhubarb and ginger oat crumble

Trifle

Cheese & Biscuits

There is plenty of parking space.

As usual the bar will be available. Please note that the CA now need to subsidise the bar if the takings are not sufficient to cover the cost of opening it so attendees are encouraged to make make full use of the facilities. (Except of course for your designated driver!)

A flyer is attached, please print for your sailing club notice board. Find this event in our online bookings facility or contact the section secretary at essex@theca.org.uk. BSC members can sign up at the club. You can turn up and pay on the door but we won't promise a meal unless you have booked.
