For March’s waterside lunch we’ve picked a yacht club which has been fairly recently revamped and comes highly recommended, thanks to Ken Nunn for arranging this one for us. Located in Walton-on-Naze it is one of the oldest established clubs in the area, having been formed in 1920.

Just 20 minutes from Colchester near adjoining the Strood this is a pub which has been popular for our lunches for years and always draws a good attendance.

For 2017’s first waterside lunch this coming winter, in January we’ve picked a yacht club we’ve enjoyed in the past – No problem with the tides for the strood on this day. The club is located on Mersea Island in the village of West Mersea in the River Blackwater in Essex. We hope to see plenty of friends there.

The Chequers is located in the charming village of Goldhanger on the River Blackwater in Essex. We really enjoyed our last visit in January with a great lunch and a stroll down Goldhanger Creek afterward

Following earlier successful fitting out suppers at the RBYC we have arranged another event there again this year. The food at the RBYC is excellent and the company always convivial. The views from the club over the Crouch are superb.
